A Great Dentist

Meet the Team at Forster Tuncurry Dental & Implants

Welcome to Forster Tuncurry Dental & Implants, where modern dentistry meets compassionate care. Dr Kenny Tran and Dr Olivia Jeon are excited to bring their unique approach to comprehensive family dental care to the Forster Tuncurry community.

We believe exceptional dentistry extends beyond advanced techniques. To our team, it's about creating a warm, welcoming environment where you feel genuinely cared for, heard and understood. Our dental practice is designed to be a positive presence in your life, earning trust through compassionate service while building lasting relationships for generations to come.

Dr Kenny Tran, BDSc (Hons) – University of Queensland

Dr Kenny Tran is one of the principal dentists and directors at Forster Tuncurry Dental & Implants. He graduated with honours from the University of Queensland and has built extensive experience across both public and private practice settings. Like his wife and co-director, Dr Olivia Jeon, Dr Kenny now proudly calls the Mid North Coast home.

During his time in the public sector, Dr Kenny was part of a multidisciplinary team at Ipswich Hospital's Head & Neck Cancer department preparing and caring for patient's oral health while they underwent cancer treatment. He is an avid believer of early detection of oral cancers, peri-operative management as well as ongoing aftercare.

Dr Kenny is renowned for his calm and focused approach, particularly when tackling complex cases. He provides the complete range of general dental treatments and has a particular passion for cosmetic and full mouth rehabilitation, surgical dentistry and implants.

He is able to offer venipuncture and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) regenerative therapy as an adjunct treatment to oral surgery and implants and has completed the highly regarded gIDE Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry as well as a Residency Program in Esthetic Dentistry through Loma Linda University in the USA. He is currently undertaking further training in Comprehensive and Full Arch Dental Implant Rehabilitation through UK-based Academy of Implant Excellence. This advanced training enables him to provide everything from cosmetic single tooth implants to complex full arch solutions.

Beyond implant surgery, Dr Kenny also has a keen interest in endodontics (root canal therapy) which focusses on retaining critical teeth for times when tooth removal or implant replacement is not a viable option. He genuinely thrives on problem-solving and precision work, earning a reputation for handling complex treatments with exceptional care and attention to detail. Whatever your needs are, Dr Kenny is able to tailor his approach to achieve a balanced and suitable outcome.

Not only that, Dr Kenny believes in treating every patient like he would his own family and takes genuine pride in helping even the most anxious patients feel comfortable and at ease in the chair.

Dr Olivia Jeon, BDSc (Hons) – University of Queensland

Dr Olivia Jeon is one of the principal dentists and directors at Forster Tuncurry Dental & Implants. She graduated with honours from the University of Queensland and has been caring for smiles for over 10 years in the field. Like her husband and co-director, Dr Kenny Tran, Dr Olivia now proudly calls the Mid North Coast home.

Dr Olivia has a strong clinical focus on crown and bridge work, efficient wisdom teeth removal, aligner orthodontics and full mouth rehabilitation. She is currently undertaking further training in Digital Orthodontics & Clear Aligners and particularly enjoys tailoring treatment plans that combine both function and aesthetics to achieve optimal results for her patients.

When it comes to dental anxiety, Dr Olivia is known for her warm, approachable nature and her ability to instantly put patients at ease. She understands that visiting the dentist can be daunting, so she takes the time to listen and create a supportive environment to help achieve the best dental health outcome for every patient. Her lightheartedness and friendly chairside manner helps patients feel comfortable, while her focus on precision ensures they receive high-quality care. Olivia believes that great dentistry isn’t just about the treatment — it’s about making people feel safe and cared for every step of the way.

Dr Olivia also has extensive experience in preparing patients' oral health before major medical procedures such as cardiac surgery or commencing bone medication for osteoporosis. If you or your loved ones are in need of urgent dental clearance before undergoing these major procedures, rest assured that Dr Olivia has a strong commitment to ensure you are thoroughly examined and prioritised in such circumstances.

Outside of work, Olivia is a proud dog mum to her groodle, Fish, and a self-confessed dog enthusiast. She's even completed a course in Dog Emotion and Cognition from Duke University. You'll often spot her walking along the beautiful coastline with her husband (and fellow principal dentist) Kenny and their beloved fluffy companion.

'Fish' the Dog

Chief Happiness Officer & Certified Good Boy

Fish is the fluffiest member of our team and our cherished clinic mascot. This gentle groodle (Golden Retriever x Poodle) has a wonderfully gentle soul, an absolute love for fetch and a remarkably expressive tail.

His happy place is chasing a ball or waiting very patiently for someone to throw it. Truly, he'll do just about anything for a good game of fetch.

While he's not usually on site at the clinic, Fish is very much part of the heart that beats behind the scenes. He keeps spirits high and ensures his humans, Dr Olivia and Dr Kenny, start every day with a smile before heading off to care for their patients.

We Look forward to Seeing Your Smile
